Malaysia Shipping Agents Association (NMSAA) was formed in May 1987. We
have come a long hard way and attained the status for what we are
today. The number of members comprising of both Container and
Non-Container Agents has been increased to 65 to date.
Based
on the past 5 years statistics of Penang Port Sdn Bhd, the compounded
throughput for containerised cargo has averagely recorded a growth of 6%
per year and that for non-containerised 3.4 %. The number of ships
calling also recorded an average increase of 1 %. In parallel to this
progressive growth, it is therefore necessary for NMSAA to have a closer
rappot with various authorities, in order to ensure both the needs and
interests of all members are well protected.
The
purpose of this website is basically to facilitate an easy access for
all members on the opdated data and informations, as well as whatever
feedbacks from the members for the Association to response with the
needful.
It
is confident that with the readiness at all times, NMSAA will move
forward to play an vital role in the industry today and tomorow.
